Edward A. Cortez, DDS
Dr. Edward Cortez completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Houston, then earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1972. After more than 40 years in practice, he still enjoys dentistry and continues to stay up to date in the dental field by taking continuing education courses every year. Dr. Cortez is experienced in a variety of dental services, including both restorative and cosmetic dentistry. His training in oral conscious sedation is beneficial for apprehensive patients and for long appointments by minimizing the patient’s time in the dental chair.
Dr. Cortez has achieved fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry, and he is also a member of the Academy of Operative Dentistry, Texas Academy of General Dentistry, Southwest Prosthodontic Society, and Southwest Oral Medicine Society. His greatest goal is to help his patients realize the importance of their teeth and gums to their overall health.
Dr. Cortez and his wife, Marie, have two sons, Edward A. Cortez, Jr. and Tim Cortez. One of his favorite hobbies is racquetball, which he has been playing since 1976.
